Bergamo

Bergamo, an italian gem

Bergamo, Italy is definitely one of my favourite places in the World. I developed my love for Italy and its culture at a very early stage of my life. It was love at first sight. I used to come to the holiday beach town called Bibione. The sound of the sea, smell of italian pizza, delicious ice cream and cheerful music around was what every child likes. Maybe I like Italy because of the good memories from my childhood or maybe it because it simply goes with my nature and relaxes me. So let me present you Bergamo Upper town, located in the Lombardy region.

A first little overview of the atmosphere :

One of my favourite parts of the city is located in the upper centre of the town, called Città Alta. It is the oldest side of the city and holds such historical buildings as;  Duomo di Bergamo, the city cathedral, the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and grand Cappella Colleoni, a chapel with 18th-century frescoes by Tiepolo. However out of all the above this museum with beautiful gardens overlooking the whole city is my number one recommendation.
